Summary:
This is part of a project sponsored by the United Nations to bring electricity to rural areas that previously have had none. This project in N'Gaoundere, Camaroon has resulted in the setting up of a demonstration solar village, as well as the production and distribution of five sets of training materials (in French) addressed to schoolchildren, technical college students and community leaders. About one hundred community leaders and representatives of Women's associations have also been trained. The results of the project and the training materials have been disseminated in Cameroon, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Tunisia, United Republic of Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
